There are many causes of condensation on windows!

Below are just a few causes!

1. Lack of ventilation in attic. Over stuffed insulation or improperly installed.

2. Damp basement or crawl space! Note: insulation and ventilation in a  crawl space is also a very big factor in this matter.

3. Leaking gutters. Make sure the down spout is draining away from the home.

4. Leaking roofs. Have the roof checked for leaks and proper venting.

Sometimes you will need to work with an insulation company and a good expert roofer to  fix this type of a problem.

5. Single pane windows that have no storms. The inside windows can condensate.

6. Improperly installed windows can also condensate.

7. You might need a dehumidifier you will hook it up in the basement.

You can get a plumber to hook it up so it drains it self.

If you do this run it on high 4 to 5 days. Then set on 4 it will turn off and on.

Note: There are many books on proper venting and insulation.

When buying new windows look for performance, warranty, ease of operation and that it's easy to maintain.

know were your windows are made.

KNOW YOUR INSTALLERS NAME AND ADDRESS

This will help if you need repairs.
